Well, 2 extrmely close games were fought out in Rd 1, seeing BW defeat COAH, both on international debut, and, by 5 wickets, and the standouts of the competition, King Pair defeat arch-rivals Super Sports, formely Amazing Sports 23 runs.
BW v COAH
Well we all expected are reasonably easy victory for BW, but it sure wasn't. BW strangely choose to bowl first on what most people call, 'a road', and COAH made them pay. Chazzamon, an opening batsmen laid an unbelivable platform scoring 159 of 142 balls, batting his way throughout the whole 50 overs. All the COAH batsmen got a few runs, with the exception of Big JoshyT, who made a pultry 3. Kevin was the best of the bowlers collecting 1/46 of 10, although Phillyeagle took 3 wickets, he went for 69 off 10. So BW were set a solid total of 323 to run down.
Things started poorly for BW as influential opener Robin, and Vichar went in the space of 2 overs. After 5 overs BW were a disastrous 2/26, still needing just under 300 runs at around 6 an over. Then a 2 massive partnerships between Aidan-Zeo, and Zeo-Philly, shouldererd all of the pressure back onto COAH. Aidan and Philly scored 70 and 67* respectively, but it was Zeo who starred, scoring 113. BW run home with some late order hitting by Dyonance, 24 off 7 to win with little more than 2 overs to spare.

KP v SS
This game certainly lived up to expectation, being a hard fought encoounter between two fierce rivals. What turned out to be a bowling affair, KP batted first on an even wicket for both batsmen and bowler. KP slumped to 3/53, then 4/88 then 5/128. It was then the captain Wogsrus and major batsmen ag6858 put on a solid partnership of 59, as Ag made 68, and underperforming WK Maxxed Out scored a wonderful 59. KP then crumbled, losing 5/35 to be bowled out for 223 in only 41 overs.
KP needed early wickets and they soon found them. KP had SS 3/53, then slumping to 5/110 in pursuit of the KP total. Another 2 wickets in the space of 2 overs saw then fall further to 7/117. A morale boosting partnership between Anant and SJ Sports saw them put on 72, but as Sports departed, SS's luck finally ran out, being dismissed for 199 in 45 overs. The 2nd gamer Corka and old fart Steiwe both ripped through the SS batsmen.
